Flamingos are easy to identify because of their distinctive pink feathers, but how do you know what Herons look like? Follow this guide to find out how to identify them and get their precious feathers.
How to Get Heron Feathers in Assassin’s Creed: Origins
Step 1: Travel to Faiyum Oasis Harbor
After you speak to Taimhotep in Memphis, a small region that is located between the Atef-Pehu and Ineb-Hedjet Nomes, you will be involved in a rather unusual fetch quest that will require you to gather a few things for an ancient ritual.
You will find the first item, a fertility talisman, in the magical goods shop located south of the temple basin. After you’ve found the blue talisman, you will need to travel to the Faiyum region either through Atef-Pehu Nome in the south or Saqqara Nome in the west.
Locate the Faiyum Oasis harbor in the eastern part of the region (see the screenshot above for exact location), and prepare your bow for some hunting.
Step 2: Collect Heron Feathers
Unlike Flamingos that can be seen almost anywhere in the region, Herons usually roam exclusively above the water or close to water sources. So move to the nearest river bank and look out for white-black birds soaring in the sky – these are the elusive Heron birds.
Take out your bow and shoot two or more birds. When you see the birds falling from the sky, run toward them and collect at least two feathers, which is required by the Taimhotep’s Song quest.
When you have all the ingredients, you can return to Memphis and finish the quest.
That is all you need to know to be able to get the Heron feathers, and for other Assassin’s Creed: Origins guides, please, refer to the list below:
