He hangs out with his guys on Dock Number 4 in Luca. And since he starts out as a player for the Ronso Fangs, you’ll need to wait for his contract to lapse before you can recruit him onto the Aurochs. He costs 200 gil per game.
Who is Argai Ronso?
He’s a Ronso. And he’s also a member of the Ronso Fangs. He’s probably been playing blitzball for a while… and he seems pretty chill too. His big blitzball draw is his stupidly high HP. It’s way higher than most other players his level. This big health pool comes at the cost of his speed, though, which is twenty points lower than most players. Along with his high HP and low Speed, our guy Argai comes with a powerfully high Endurance (EN) and Shoot (SH) stats, making him a great forward to blitz through the opposition to get the ball where it needs to be. If he were a job class, Argai would be a tank. Let him take aggro and move while the enemies are distracted. He doesn’t quite lose stats as he levels, but he does peak at the middle. Between levels 30 and 50 are where Argai bangs the most. So he’s a good addition, but maybe not forever.
Is Argai Ronso Worth It?
Yeah, but not long-term. If you’re playing blitzball just to get Wakka’s reels and Celestial Weapon stuff, then go for it, he won’t do you wrong. But if you’re looking to make the Crème de la Crème of blitzball pies then you should probably go look for another forward who shines the brightest at higher levels.
