Supercompost is an upgraded version of compost used in farming; it increases the yield of farming patches and makes them less prone to disease.
Compost Bins
Compost bins are found on farms that have allotment patches, flower patches, and herb patches. There are 6 normal compost bins in RuneScape, and 1 big compost bin. The normal compost bins are found at the following farms:
south of Falador west of Port Phasmatys north of Ardougne north of Catherby southwest of Hosidius northeast of Prifddinas
There’s also a big compost bin in the Farming Guild, which can hold 30 compostable produce items (twice the amount of normal compost bins) thus producing 30 buckets of compost. Regular compost takes around 60 minutes to rot, and supercompost takes around 90 minutes to rot in both normal compost bins & the big compost bin.
Best Produce Items for Supercompost
Watermelons and pineapples are the most common compost bin fillers, as they’re cheap and easy to get. You can only get watermelons through the Farming skill by planting 3 watermelon seeds in an allotment patch at level 47 Farming. You can also pay the nearby farmer 10 curry leaves (noted is fine) to look after your watermelon crops, which guarantees that they won’t get diseased. The best way to get pineapples is to buy them at Trader Stan’s Trading Post, which has 15 pineapples in stock at 5gp each. Trader Stan’s Trading Post can be found at the docks in the following locations:

But pineapples are also sold at the Grand Tree Groceries and Funch’s Fine Groceries in the Grand Tree; both shops stock 10 pineapples at 2gp each. Or if you’d rather grow them yourself, pineapples can also be farmed at level 51 Farming by using a pineapple seed on a filled plant pot (you must have a trowel in your inventory), then by watering it with a watering can. After around 15 minutes, it will turn into a pineapple sapling, which can then be used on a fruit tree patch (you must have a spade). You can pay the nearby farmer 10 watermelons (noted is fine) to look after this patch for you. Then finally, the pineapple plant will produce 6 pineapples, which will always eventually grow back after being picked.
Other Produce Items for Supercompost
Snape grass can be used to fill a compost bin to make supercompost, but it’s best reserved for the creation of prayer potions at level 38 Herblore. Other options that can be used to create supercompost include:

Monsters That Drop Supercompost
Level 74 and level 86 Zygomites in Zanaris have approximately a 1 in 23 chance of dropping 1-2 noted supercompost. And three of the four wilderness bosses, Callisto (level 470), Venenatis (level 454), and Vet’ion (level 454), all have around a 1 in 27 chance of dropping 100 noted supercompost. Also, level 210 Ancient wyverns in the Wyvern Cave on Fossil Island have a 1 in 44 chance of dropping 7-10 noted supercompost.
Trivia
Before April 28th, 2016, it was only possible to add compost or supercompost to a farming patch before planting a seed. But now it’s possible to add it during any growth stage of a crop or plant.
