Layers of grime accumulate on the outside of your house as it’s exposed to the elements. “Pressure washing removes mold and algae, both of which can damage your home over time,” explains Scott Reid, Exterior Home Expert at Angi (opens in new tab). Before you start, check for cracks in the siding. “You run the risk of accidentally penetrating the siding and causing water damage,” cautions Scott.
