While Humble Bundle is always based on a “pay what you want” model, you can unlock the top tier of comics for $12. Included in this tier is the entire 4-volume Dungeons and Dragons Classics series and a reprint of the original 1988 Advanced Dungeons and Dragons series published by DC and created by Michael Fleisher, Dan Mishkin, and Jan Duursema.

Included in the basic comic lineup is a collection of the first five issues of Legends of Baldur’s Gate, which takes place generations after the events of the Baldur’s Gate games.

Legends of Baldur’s Gate also features Minsc and Boo as main protagonists, which raises a lot of questions (like whether they are immortal). I’m sure we’ll get no answers, but it looks like fun trip back into nostalgia.

IDW is historically amazing at buying up intellectual properties and tapping into pop culture nostalgia. Their publications include Doctor Who, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Ghostbusters, to name a few. Included in their game-based comic lineup are Konami-owned series Silent Hill, Castlevania, and Metal Gear Solid, as well as several titles from EA Games. Their partnership with EA, called EA Comics, currently includes a Dragon Age and Crysis series.
